Description

Chablis is surely the answer to any negative criticism of chardonnay. This example is made in the classic way: in stainless steel without any exposure to oak. The result is also classic: the fruit is pure and well-focused, with white-fleshed fruit and citrus in the leading roles, and the acidity is finely calibrated, fresh, and clean. It has a bright, refreshing texture while delivering substantial flavour. It’s drinking very well now, and it will hold its freshness another three years or so. Tasted November 2023. Score – 92.
