Description

This provides a beautiful, bright aromatic display with lifted cranberry, botanicals, nutmeg and other spices. It is medium weight, intense and juicy with fresh acidity, warmth and all round great energy. Tannins are modest but firm but in a constructive way. The length is excellent. Best now to 2028. It is 100% nerello mascalese from a single basaltic vineyard at 700 metres on the north slope of Mt. Etna. Tasted October 2024 then again at the winery in December 2024. Score – 93.
