Another highlight, the 2015 Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard brings together so many of the elements that make Tensley’s Syrahs so compelling. Intense in its aromatics and palate feel, the 2015 hits all the right notes. Sweet red cherry, rose petal, raspberry jam and a dollop of French oak are some of the signatures. Because of the low yields, the new oak is a bit high in 2015, but all the elements are very nicely married. The Colson Canyon is shaping up to be another gem from Joey Tensley. Score – 94-97.
