Tarapacá 150 Anniversary Edition Gran Reserva Red Blend 2022

Description

Tarapacá, under different ownership and management, has been producing wines for 150 years, always with a focus on Maipo Valley vineyards. This 68% cabernet sauvignon, 30% syrah, and 2% cabernet franc is entirely from estate-owned vineyards surrounding the Tarapacá winery in Isla de Maipo, planted on granite and clay soils. It’s a red wine that’s very much in the house’s style – the smooth texture, the herbal and fruity aromas in similar measure, the very fine, sharp tannins. Score – 93.
