Torrontés rarely sees barrel fermentation and ageing, as the process can utterly overwhelm the grape’s subtler characteristics. But as with Sauvignon Blanc in Bordeaux, when done with care and precision, the process can bring forth wines of interest and significance. This one is skilfully accomplished, retaining its delicate floral attributes, nuanced tropical fruit, citrus and minerality along with spice and oak. Enjoy through 2030.
