Philipponnat Grand Blanc Extra Brut Champagne 2015

Description

The 2015 Champagne Grand Blanc Extra Brut is mainly from Vertus, but also Trapail and Verzenay, with some ‘downgraded’ fruit from Clos des Goisses. The wine pours a bright yellow hue and offers lifted aromas of lemon sorbet, orange blossoms, and star fruit. Medium-bodied with a lively mousse, it takes on a silky mineral texture with fresh fruit, and though it may not be the longest on the palate, it offers a lot of classic charm and retains good freshness for the vintage.
