Penfolds Max’s Shiraz/Cabernet 2021

Description

This is delicious, and for its size and weight very nicely balanced and poised. The texture is almost satin. Expect a generous, complex and quite sophisticated nose that nicely marries cabernet currants and mint with shiraz cherry/blueberry and pepper. And wraps them [in] fine oak vanillin and spice gauze. It is full bodied, just a touch sweet. The tannins are quite fine. The length is excellent. Last tasted October 2024. Score – 91. (David Lawrason, winealign.com)
