Description
[Though not the bottling tasted by Michael Vaughan, this release will reflect similar characteristicsand quality.] Now retasted several times at different temperatures in various glasses. Here is a delicious, elegant, seductive Vermouth that must be tasted to be believed. It has a light salmon pink colour. The nose has a symphony of spicy aromas – black cardamom, nutmeg, sandalwood, honey, chamomile and buttered warm brioche all wound up with floral rose petals. It is fairly sweet, medium bodied and spicy with honeyed, floral, strawberry fruit and warm buttery brioche flavours plus a touch of orange citrus and classic fairly bitter wormwood notes. Not to be missed, this 15% alcohol blend of Fino sherry with Moscatel plus a touch of Tintilla de Rota has 146 g/L residual sugar with lot number L1323 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Best served chilled, straight up in a flute to augment acidity or in traditional Vermouth-based mixed drinks. A Best Buy. Score – 94. (Michael Vaughan, vintageassessments.com, April 30, 2022)
