Domaine Geantet-Pansiot Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2023

Description

Quite woody at the moment, but there is excellent depth hidden beneath. Expect dark fruit, from ripe black cherries to almost blackberries. Hazelnut waffle and spices as well. Full-bodied for pinot with fine, powdery tannins that melt with the fruit. Long and spicy in the end. Do give it two or three years in bottle to let the pinot elegance shine through. Score – 95.
