Description

Ouillé signifies that the wine is made in a non-oxidative style. Grand Curoulet has established itself as the most accomplished non-oxidative Savagnin of the Domaine du Pélican. The harvest is lightly crushed before being pressed and fermentation takes place in foudres and barrels. A third of the harvest macerates with the skins overnight before being pressed. Ageing continues in 500-litre barrels, without new oak.
