Zinfandel’s history in California dates to the gold rush of the 1850s. Some of the earliest plantings of Zinfandel still exist today (the eponymous ‘Old Vines’). This Zinfandel shows smoky oak, vanilla, plum, and fig notes with a soft, silky mouth feel. The Smoking Loon Zinfandel is an ideal match for barbecued ribs.
