The hauntingly dark and floral 2019 Nobile di Montepulciano Vecchie Viti del Salco blends exotic savory spices with crushed dried flowers, spiced cherries and ginger nuances. It’s silky to the extreme, with no hard edges in sight. A polished wave of ripe red berries rushes the palate, leaving a staining of minerality and fine tannins in its wake. The 2019 is potent and incredibly long, with a primary concentration that lasts through the long and structured finale.
