The Vulture region in Basilicata has been making waves the past few decades with their sumptuous, savoury red grape, Aglianico. Bold, gamey and smoky, this fine example is best enjoyed slow to appreciate the fine-grained tannins, round mouthfeel, and flavours of red plum, white pepper, smoked meat and dried herbs.
