A blend of cabernet (sauvignon and franc) from the VQA South Island, solely represented by Pelee Island winery, and Canada’s most southerly winemaking region. Rich and warming with notable ripeness. Full-bodied with red plummy fruit and a good balance of oak spice. Exhibits a gently matured character along with a touch of sweetness. Round with supple tannins contribute to a ready-to-drink disposition. A widely appealing style that is certified sustainable. Best now to 2025. Tasted March 2023. Score – 89.
