The 2019 Barbaresco Riserva Vecchie Vigne is one of the best recent vintages of this wine I have tasted. Rich, ample and explosive, with tremendous depth, the 2019 possesses massive richness as well as character. Sweet red cherry, rose petal, blood orange, cinnamon and mint all meld together effortlessly. The 2019 spent two and half years in cask, a bit less than in the past. Drinking window: 2026-2039.
