Marchand-Tawse Les Saussilles Pommard 2022

Description

Picked late, being in a cool spot. Mostly from 90 year old vines, made with 20% whole bunches, 30% new wood. Medium crimson in colour, rather reduced on the nose. The oak adds a lactic note. There is good grip at the back, but this will take a while to show. Without the reduction this should become quite classy, and might merit an upgrade. Drink from 2027-2033. Tasted Dec 2023.
