Col d’Orcia Olmaia Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Description

The organic Col d’Orcia 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Olmaia is a rich, muscular and concentrated red. It offers soft fruit with no greenness, but it almost behaves like a Sangiovese with dark plum and blackberry. There is a ferrous note of rusty nail, and the wine concludes with velvety tannins and a medium-rich mouthfeel. I get a hint of smoked tobacco as well. Score – 93.
