Cape Point Isliedh 2020

Description

A Cape classic, with 11 maximum 5-star ratings since [its] 2003 debut. 2020 has 80% sauvignon with semillon; wholebunch-picked, natural ferment (like Reserve). Oak (40% new) adds savoury dimension & complexity without diminishing intensity of blackcurrant-led fruit. Silky, grippy finesse, combining lightness of texture with depth of flavour. Fascinating now, but made for ageing. Score – 97. (Platter’s South African Wine Guide, 2022)
