Description

(aged in new and used French oak barrels for two years) Dark red. Dark fruit and floral scents, along with suggestions of espresso and vanilla. Fleshy and warm on the palate, offering appealingly sweet black currant and cherry-vanilla flavors and building smokiness. In a lush, open-knit style, with smooth tannins shaping a broad, smoky, persistent finish. Drinking window: 2017-2023. Score – 91. (Josh Raynolds, vinous.com, May 2017)
