Batasiolo Corda della Briccolina Barolo 2001

Description

This comes from a 1.6-hectare (4-acre) vineyard in Serralunga solely owned by the Doglianis. Floral notes grace the nose, picking up leather and plum flavors. Rich, deep and supple on the palate, this was by far the most impressive of the Batasiolo wines we recently sampled. Aged in barrique. Score – 92. (Wine Enthusiast, Dec. 1, 2006)
