Castello Fortemasso Riserva Barolo 2015

Description

An open-knit, spicy, earthy wine with unforced polish and refined concentration. A baseline of forest floor is dotted with black fruits, ethereal clouds of sweet spices, toasted notes, and lots of mineral complexity. Warming alcohol and huge tannins wrap the palate in structure and bring the wine to a long, tightly-wound finish. [Drink until 2035.] Score – 96. (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2022)
